My Website: Up and Running!

Sorry for the long delay between journals, I just have been putting it off and putting it off.

But here's some good news: I just got a domain and hosting service through GoDaddy and got myself a website! Big thanks to *GVA for getting himself a website...that helped me get the ball rolling on my own site (although he probably did that unknowingly).

Here is the address: [link]

I still haven't finished designing it, and I am a little stumped on how to make a good-looking portfolio section (I am probably just going to use Photoshop's automated web-gallery-maker-thingy), but I like the overall look of the site.

I also made myself a "logo" of sorts, and am printing business cards for myself. I'll put the logo up on the website soon.

I'll do another Thumbshare Dozen in the next few weeks, and of course I'm always taking picture and I already have almost a dozen to submit.

Sweet! I've been hoping to get a website for some time...right now, I'm focusing on expanding my portfolio a bit more, though.

Yeah I am going to be in a few art shows in a local city in the next few months so I wanted to get business cards made, and then I wanted to put a website on my business cards, so one thing led to another and now I have a website and business cards haha.

I'm also trying to expand my portfolio, shooting more people (portraits and group shots) and local sports.

Nice work with the new website, Justin. It looks great. Oh, and thanks for the mention. Glad I set the wheels in motion :)

It's nice and simple and easy to navigate. Enjoyed seeing more work of yours as well. Some great colorful landscapes. I might be worth adding a home tab to the portfolio sections if you can. I know it's possible to click back in the browser window but it took me a minute looking for a way to get back.

Best of luck!

Thank you Gary, I'm really happy you like the site :)
I wanted to put a home page button in the portfolio pages, but the template in Lightroom that I used (the only one I could get to work out of all of the templates, actually) didn't have that option. I might see if I can mess around with the CSS or the javascript and add a link though.
