I wondered that too, as I was setting up my tripod to take the shot. "Who would abandon this?" is what I actually thought. The inside of it was totally trashed, and there was stuff growing in it, so it was beyond help, but I'm sure it wasn't always that way...

Great movie indeed! I saw it last week at an outdoor cinema and wanted to pack my bags and hit the road. :) And cool image! Still grappling with IR test shots myself. They still seem to be very grainy with the long exposures on my Canon 400D

I had the same feeling! And I've heard the 400D (aka: the Rebel XTI, right?) has trouble with IR like the D80. Luckily I have the D50 and it handles it pretty good, even at ISO 400.
